Yes Instead of No
The message is simple. We are all connected, like the pick-up sticks in the photo. Move one even the tiniest bit, and the others quiver. Say ‘yes’ to playing a game with the kids—or to anything that speaks of connection, kindness, acknowledgment, and care—and the ripple out into the world is radically different than saying ‘no.’ In physics the term for this constant quivering that takes place in our intertwined universe is called quantum entanglement. We are entangled with everyone and everything else. No act is too small to make a difference. What we say, create, and embody matters. How we speak, behave, and think matters. “There is no such thing as a tiny act.” —Tom Shadyac What a responsibility. What a gift.
